Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do.
Who we are
Bottle Rocket Search Group is an executive search firm and part of the Lean Six Search Group. It is run by Lean Six Search Group Ltd. (UK), company number 16011499, 4 Capricorn Centre, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon, Essex, SS14 3JJ, which is the controller of your information under UK GDPR. Questions: hello@bottlerocketsearch.com.
What we collect
- What you send us through our forms and chat: your name, contact details, company, the role you’re hiring for or looking for, your CV or a job description, and your message.
- Cookies: your cookie choice and, only if you accept, the pages you visit. If you arrive from one of our emails, those visits are kept with your record. See our Cookie policy.
- In our search work: your public professional profile, recommendations from people who know you, business contact details from data providers, and what you tell us.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, run searches and consider you for roles: our legitimate interests in running a search business, or steps you asked for. We always speak to you before your CV goes to a client.
- To count website visits: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To send news about roles and our services: our legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep records the law requires, and to keep our systems secure.
People make every decision about candidates. We use AI tools to help the team, for example reading a CV, and a person always checks.
Who sees it
- Clients, when we put you forward for a role, after talking to you.
- Our sister firms in the Lean Six Search Group, which share our systems.
- Service providers who work on our instructions: website hosting and storage, email, our recruitment system and the tools in it, and business contact lookup.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We never sell personal information. Some of our team and providers are outside the UK; where that applies, your information is protected by the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them, and we delete them when you ask. Website visits that aren’t linked to anyone are deleted after 13 months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, have it corrected or deleted, limit or object to how we use it (including marketing, at any time), take it elsewhere, and withdraw consent. Email hello@bottlerocketsearch.com and we’ll reply within a month.
If you’re unhappy, please tell us first. You can also complain to the ICO, or to your local data protection authority outside the UK.
